Public consultation 05/12 on the co-investment and SMP in NGA
Run from 9 January to 10 March 2012
The draft BEREC report on Co-investment and significant market power (SMP) in Next Generation Access Networks (NGA) (+annex 2 and annex 3) was discussed and agreed at the Board of Regulators on 9 December 2011 and was published for public consultation on 9 January 2012.
The main objectives of the draft document are to:
- list and describe the different possible co-investment schemes to roll out fibre access networks across Europe.
- suggest elements to be examined by NRAs in a co-investment scenario when conducting SMP analyses of markets 4 and 5.
- examine specific sets of conditions and criteria considered to be suitable indicators of effective competition.
The summary of the comments received within the public consultation can be consulted in the relevant BEREC Report, which contains also information how they were reflected in the final report.
