BEREC Report to enable comparable national broadband coverage indicators throughout Europe

The Broadband Coverage in Europe Study has been conducted since more than a decade in order to inform about the progress in the development of broadband networks of the EU Member States towards the specific broadband objectives established by the European Commission in the Digital Agenda for Europe namely: universal broadband coverage with speeds of at least 30 Mbps by 2020, 50% of households having broadband subscriptions of at least 100 Mbps by 2020 and universal connectivity offering a download link of at least 100 Mbps upgradable to Gigabit speed by 2025. More recently, the EC has launched the Digital Compass in order to drive Europe fully into the digital decade.
