The revised BEREC Common Positions (CPs) on Wholesale Local Access (WLA), Wholesale Broadband Access (WBA) and Wholesale Leased Lines (WLL) were discussed and agreed at the BEREC Board of Regulators meeting in Limassol on 27 September 2012 and will be published for public consultation in the period 28 September - 18 October 2012.

These CPs were originally agreed in 2006/07 and BEREC undertook this review in order to align them with the latest technological/market developments (e.g. NGA).

In order to help stakeholders to understand better the review process, BEREC prepared the current introductory document to the consultation setting the context and background to this review, which is published at the same time as the three draft BEREC CPs.

The documents published for public consultation are the following:

•           The revised CP on WLA;

•           The revised CP on WBA;

•           The revised CP on WLL; and

•           A Glossary of terms to support the definition of terms used in all three CPs.
