Mary Sarantopoulou

Hellenic Telecommunications and Post Commission - Greece

Mary is a senior advisor on telecommunications regulations in Greek Telecommunications and Post Commission (EETT). Over the past 8 years she has contributed in the analysis of telecommunications markets, the design of regulatory remedies and she has led various policy and technical projects related to implementing legislation. Before joining EETT, Mary worked in the mobile telecommunications industry, focusing on network solutions and technology development.

Since 2020, Mary has actively participated in multiple BEREC workstreams as a member, drafter, and team leader in areas such as Sustainability and Digital Markets. Since 2022, she has been a member of the BEREC Contact Network and, from 2022 to 2024, served on the team supporting EETT’s chairmanship and vice-chairmanship. In December 2024, she was appointed Co-Chair of the Sustainability Working Group.

Mary holds a Bachelor’s degree in Physics and a Master’s degree in Management and Economics of Telecommunication Networks from the University of Athens and a Master’s degree in Telecommunication and Information Systems from the University of Essex, UK.
