Draft BEREC Opinion on the SMP Guidelines

The SMP Guidelines are a key document outlining principles related to market analyses and the assessment of significant market power under the present EU regulatory framework. They will continue to perform this important role under the Electronic Communications Code. In 2017 BEREC provided its input to the EC’s public consultation, the results of which were published on 5 October 2017.

The European Commission invited BEREC to provide the Commission with its opinion on the draft SMP Guidelines and on the accompanying draft Explanatory Note. This document is part of the internal decision making process and is not available to the public.
