Decision of the Management Board of the Agency for Support for BEREC to approve the short-list of candidates for the post of Director and to identify the next steps in the selection procedure

On 7 March 2023 the BEREC Office Management Board took a decision No MB/2023/03 to establish the Selection Panel for the selection of new Director of the BEREC Office and on 28 June 2023 the BEREC Office Management Board published a Vacancy for the function of Director (Temporary Agent - Grade AD 14) with deadline for submission of applications of 18 August 2023 at 12:00 (midday), Brussels time.

After the deadline for submission of applications the Commission carried out the first scrutiny of the applications on the basis of the eligibility criteria and prepared a list of admissible applications, which was sent to the Selection Panel.

In line with the provisions of Annex 5 of the Rules of Procedure of the Management Board of the BEREC Office and MB/2023/03, the Selection Panel carried out a first round of interviews with the candidates most fit for the post and on 6 November 2023 provided the Management Board with a short-list of the three most suitable candidates candidates for the post of Director along with all relevant support documentation relating to the selection procedure carried out.

Therefore, on 15 November 2023, the Agency’s Management Board approved the proposal of the Selection Panel containing a short-list of the best suitable candidates for the post of the BEREC Office Director and adopted to invite those short-listed candidates to an interview with the Management Board.

In order to facilitate the choice of the best candidate by the Management Board, it was also decided the short-listed candidates shall undergo an additional assessment by a management assessment centre before the interviews with the Management Board and BEREC Office administration will undertake providing dissemination of the outcome of the assessment results to the Management Board.

Management Board decided, that this decision shall be published on the BEREC website after the completion of the selection procedure.
