Public consultation on the draft BEREC Guidelines to foster the consistent application of the criteria for assessing co-investments in new very high capacity network elements (Article 76 EECC)
During its 43rd (virtual) plenary meeting (11-12 June 2020), the BEREC Board of Regulators has approved the draft BEREC Guidelines to foster the consistent application of the criteria for assessing co-investments in new very high capacity network elements (Article 76 EECC) for public consultation.
BEREC is required under Article 76 of the European Electronic Communications Code (EECC) to publish guidelines to foster the consistent application by National Regulatory Authorities (NRAs) of the conditions to be met when assessing co-investment offers. The rationale for issuing these Guidelines is to contribute to the consistent application by NRAs of the conditions with which co-investment offers must comply when commitments associated with those offers are being assessed by the NRAs in the context of Article 76 of the EECC. Therefore, the envisaged Guidelines are to facilitate the consistent application of the minimum criteria for assessing the relevant co-investment project.
The public consultation ran from 16th June 2020 to 4th September 2020.
In accordance with the BEREC policy on public consultations, BEREC will publish a summary of all received contributions, respecting confidentiality requests.
All contributions will be published on the BEREC website, taking into account requests for confidentiality and publication of personal data. Any such requests should clearly indicate which information is considered confidential.
