BEREC supports joint actions by Ukrainian and EU operators to ensure affordable connectivity for Ukrainian refugees

Aiming to support Ukraine, on 8 April 2022, telecommunications operators in the European Union and Ukraine signed a Joint Statement describing actions they have committed to ensure affordable access to electronic communication services for Ukrainian refugees. The actions should enable Ukrainian refugees to stay in touch with family and friends and access the Internet and reliable sources of information.

BEREC recognizes the importance of ensuring connectivity in times of crisis and stands in full solidarity with Ukraine and its people. BEREC welcomes this joint initiative of the operators and is ready to support the implementation of the actions as described in the Joint Statement.
