BEREC Report on the outcome of the public consultation on the draft BEREC Guidelines to assist NRAs on the consistent application of Geographical surveys of network deployments

The draft BEREC Guidelines on Geographical Surveys (GSs) of network deployments was approved for public consultation at the 40th BEREC ordinary meeting in October 2019.

Stakeholders were requested to provide comments to the Guidelines and to answer four questions concerning speed calculation, information requirements, the need to procure performance information and the need to define thresholds for key parameters. The public consultation was open since the 10th of October until the 21 November 2019. 27 contributors responded to the consultation including operators (9), operator’s associations (10), public authorities (4) and citizens (2). The contributions were varied and lengthy adding up to 166 pages of comments. All contributions were published on the BEREC website, taking into account requests for confidentiality and restricted use of personal data.

The report responds to the comments made and explains how these comments have impacted the revised Guidelines.
