BEREC Workshop on Switching and interoperability of data processing services
On 28 April 2023, at 10:00 CET, BEREC will hold a virtual workshop on Switching and interoperability of data processing services. The registration is closed, but it is possible to follow the livestreaming of the workshop on the front page of the BEREC website.
In February 2022, the European Commission published a proposal for a Regulation on harmonized rules on fair access to and use of data (the Data Act). The proposal includes several provisions to facilitate switching between providers of data processing services and indicates that independent national competent authorities with experience in electronic communications services are well placed to ensure the application and enforcement of specific provisions. Please see the Context paper attached for more information.
BEREC expects that during the workshop, the industry stakeholders will present their views about the proposed Data Act and Switching and interoperability of data processing services. Therefore, the presenting stakeholders according to the Agenda for the workshop are invited to prepare targeted presentations addressing particular questions and themes of interest to BEREC and other stakeholders about the Regulation on harmonized rules on fair access to and use of data (the Data Act).
Moreover, BEREC would most welcome hearing views and practices during workshop which will be divided in two parts, presentations from speakers and the second part industry panel.
