The BEREC Office Management Committee appointed with Decision No MC/2014/4 Mr László Ignéczi as Administrative Manager for a period of three years as from 1 April 2014. Later on, with Decision No MC/2016/14 the Management Committee extended the term of office of the Administrative Manager for three years as from 1 April 2017. With effect from 20 December 2018, the Administrative Manager appointed on the basis of Regulation (EC) No 1211/2009 acts as Director of the Agency with the functions provided for in the afore-mentioned Regulation. The other conditions of the Administrative Manager’s contract remain unchanged. The Chairperson of the Management Board carried out an evaluation of the Director’s performance and the BEREC Office’s tasks and challenges provisions in accordance with the provisions of Article 49 (3) of Regulation (EC) No 1211/2009 and suggested to the Management Board extending the mandate of the Director for further 4 years. The Management Board considered the evaluation of the Chairperson during its 39th ordinary meetings held on 14 June 2019 in Ghent, and approved the current decision for renewal of the Director’s mandate for a further term. The Council of the European Union and the European parliament were informed about the decision.
