Article 4 (7) of the BEREC Regulation allows BEREC to organise its work into Expert Working Groups (EWGs). In order to implement the BEREC Work Programme 2018 the Board of Regulators (BoR) decided to continue operation of already existing nine EWGs.

Article 11 (1) of the BoR (14) 213 Rules of Procedure of the Board of Regulators provides that the “Board of Regulators may decide to create EWGs to assist with the performance of the tasks and functions of BEREC and request the Office to provide support. The decision that establishes the EWGs and appoints their co-Chairs for the following year shall be approved before the end of each civil year”.

In the light of the above, and taking into account the fact the decision BoR/2016/04 of the Board of Regulators of 8 December 2016 on the BEREC Expert Working Groups in its Article 1 establishes the EWG for the year 2017, this decision refers only to the renewal of decision BoR/2016/04 for the year 2018.
