BEREC

Annual work programme

The Board of Regulators shall, after consulting all interested parties, adopt the annual work programme of BEREC before the end of each year preceding that to which the work programme relates.

In that respect during its 25th plenary meeting (10-11 December 2015, London), the Board of Regulators adopted the BEREC Work Programme 2016. It is based on the BEREC Strategy 2015-2017, that gives focus and impetus to BEREC’s work, channelling the Body's overall strategy and giving clear direction to all its activities in view of the challenges. The BEREC Work Program 2016 embodies the actions to be undertaken in 2016 in pursuit of the designated Strategic Priorities:

1) promoting competition and investment,
2) promoting the internal market
3) empowering and protecting end-users.

More information about the BEREC Work Programmes can be obtained by consulting the Work Programme for each respective year, as listed below:

BEREC maintains close relations with the European Commission, the Council, the European Parliament, who, in accordance with the BEREC Regulation, may ask for its opinion. BEREC will assign high priority to such requests and therefore needs to ensure that sufficient resources can be made available at short notice. In order to meet such requests, it may become necessary to re-prioritise or make changes to the work programme, especially with regard to the timing of individual elements of the work programme.

Furthermore, BEREC will also continue to co-operate with other advisory bodies, such as RSPG and ENISA where that cooperation contributes to the interests of citizens and the promotion of competition.
